Once You are Here - How to Get Around Town

Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground is located just over 9 miles from the Village of Cooperstown.  This is a very small village located in a rather rural setting.  We hope you enjoy the beauty of Cooperstown as much as we do.  The easiest and most convenient way to get around and see the sites is by your own automobile, however, if you do not have a tow vehicle or can't disconnect from your RV we have some suggestions.  Here are a few helpful phone numbers and websites to help you get around once you are here.

Car Rental - Smith Ford - (607) 547-9924 - They will usually deliver a rental vehicle to the campground and are very helpful and courteous.

Other rental companies include, however, they are located in the Oneonta area (about 45 minutes away):  Rent -A- Wreck   (607) 432-5568, Priceless Car Rental   (607) 433-1151, Enterprise   (607) 433-1000

Village Trolley Service - Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce - (607) 547-9983 - This service is provided by the Chamber of Commerce it is very helpful in maneuvering the summer traffic in the village and a convenient place to park.  Note:  this is not a trolley service from the campground, it is from parking lots located on the outskirts of Cooperstown.

Taxi & Limousine Service - There is no continuous taxi service running in Cooperstown, you need to call ahead to arrange service.  Lee's Taxi is located in Cooperstown (607) 547-8811.  Here are some other options, however, they are located in Oneonta and can be quite expensive:  ACE Taxi Service (607) 432-8294, A&D Transport  (607) 547-8777, Superior Cab (607) 432-6735.  Other options include limousine service:  Cooperstown Limousine (888) 229-7222, Leatherstocking Limousine (607) 547-6189, Bon Voyage Luxury Transport (607) 432-9509.
